Psychologies of Liberation emerged from depth psychology in ethnically diverse and indigenous communities across the globe as effective and relevant means to address cultural oppression and racism.
As a depth psychologist, Dr. De Veaux has made academic presentations at the University of New Hampshire, the Jungian Society of Scholarly Studies conference, and the Avery Center for Research in African American Culture at the College of Charleston (Charleston, South Carolina).
Her doctoral dissertation, titled In Search of Solid Ground: Oral Histories of the Great Migration 1920-1960, provides rare and unfiltered narratives of displacement, dislocation, and migration among several African Americans, from the Carolinas into New England.
